The Exploratorium is hosting a group of Tibetan Monks and Nuns as teachers-in-residence, along with their exhibition, "The World of Your Senses".
This project is a collaboration between the Exploratorium, the Library of Tibetan Works & Archives (LTWA), the Sager Family Foundation's Science for Monks Program, and the Smithsonian Institution, The World of Your Senses draws on the traditions of 17th century Tibetan medical text paintings to interpret descriptions of the senses found in science textbooks today. Nine visiting monks and nuns will speak directly about their experiences with the exhibition and the Science for Monks Program, as well as their role as science educators within their own monastic communities
